COVID-19 Updates

January 13, 2022

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on the COVID situation at Sulphur Public Schools.  We are monitoring the situation very closely.  The major consideration we look at to stay open is do we have the staff available to provide a safe environment and are we able to make an educational impact to the majority of our students.  To date, because of our amazing staff, we have been able to maintain both of those things.  If things get to a point where we feel like this cannot happen, we may be forced to take a temporary pause.  If that were the case, we would do everything possible to give as much advance notice as possible.  We strongly believe that in person learning is what is best for our students and will continue to strive to offer that at Sulphur Public Schools.  Please help us to stay open by not sending your child to school if they are sick or showing any COVID symptoms.  If you see a teacher or staff member please take a minute to thank them for the job they are doing. They have been amazing through all of the ups and downs of the COVID pandemic. Thank you for your grace and understanding as we continue to swim through uncharted waters.
